  • All trainee-teachers of the college shall abide by the rules & regulations of the college existing at the time of admission or as framed from time to time.
  • Discipline and decorum in and outside the classroom should be maintained.
  • The Principal of the college shall have full powers in all matters pertaining to the admission, detention of trainee-teachers and the imposition of fines & the re admission
           thereof.
  • Students have to follow all the orders/instructions forwarded by the Principal.
  • Admission of the students is not transferable in any case.
  • Any dispute/problem regarding academic and co-academic activities will be redressed by the Principal.
  • The uniform code must be followed strictly by every trainee-teacher, The trainee teachers shall have to wear uniform as specified by the college on Monday,Tuesday,
           Thursday, Friday and on the College function/ celebrations  as well as during the teaching practice days.
  • The dress code will be informed to the students before start of class/Session by the college.
  • Although progress report embodying the result of house examination are forwarded to parents/guardian by college office. It the responsibility of every student to bring
           his/her result to the notice of his/her parents/Guardian.
  • No student is allowed to accept any kind of employment during the course of training
  • Ignorance of notices on the notice board shall not be entertained as an excuse in any matter.
  •  The trainee-teacher must complete the attendance as per condition of the HPU. If the condition is not fulfilled, he/she shall not be eligible for the University examination.
  • The power of the Principal of the college extends over all the trainee-teachers at all time inside or outside the college.
  •  Mobile phones are not allowed in college premises as well as in classrooms. A strict action will be taken against the defaulters.
  • Students will have to submit undertaking on the prescribed form given in this prospectus before Admission.
  • Every trainee-teacher is supposed to have ID Card and shown on demand.
  • No teacher trainee will be allowed in the college campus & teaching practics school with out I Card.

Leave Rules & Fine

  • Absent with out information in requisite format of the institution will be deal strictly. Fine Rs 100/- day will be charged after 10 days student name will be struck off & student has to take re-admission along with late Fee Fine.
  • if student Found mission after Lunch break with out any information in written will be deal strictly as per. institution quideline
  • No Leave shall be sanctioned except under special circumstance, provided students fulfill 80% of attendance condition. The leave to the students shall be sanctioned by the
           Principal on the recommendation of tutor. No leave is granted during the practice teaching
  •  Fine for remaining absent from theory or practical classes, practice teaching will be informed to the students by the college authority before start of classs/Session.
  • Leave on account of illness must be accompanied by medical certificate.

Library Rules

  • Non transferable library cum identity cards are issued to all the trainee-teachers and books shall be issued on their cards.
  •  Every trainee-teacher is allowed to draw 2 books at a time for a period of not more than 14 days. However, a book can be got re-issued with the special permission of the
           Librarian if it is not already reserved.
  •  If a trainee-teacher fails to return the book(s) within the prescribed time limit, a fine of 50/- per book, per day will be levied.
  •  Any kind of damage to a book borrowed from the Library will render the borrower liable for a fine & for disciplinary action.
  • If trainee teacher losses a Library book issued to him/her, he/she will be required not only to pay full price of the book but may also be liable for a fine.
  • Reference books will not be issued.
  • Complete silence should be maintained in the library

SPECIAL FEATURES

House System:-

The students from all the sections are divided into five houses:

  • Tagore House
  • Gandhi House
  • Radhakrishnan House
  • Vivekananda House
  • Aurovindo House

The purpose of the house system is

To provide opportunities to the students for self expression.

  • To inculcate leadership qualities among students.
  • To motivate students to shoulder responsibilities.
  • To understand the concept of team spirit.
  • To develop the leadership quality.

Each house functions under the charge of a team of teachers one of which acts as the house convener. Each house remains on duty for one week in a month.

House Examination

  • Mid-term tests will be held in the middle of every semester.
  •  Absentee will be lined Rs. 50 for every Paper.
  •  If a student absent himself/herself from any of the house tests held by college for purpose of internal assessment or if he/she fails, the Principal shall have the authority to
           with held his/her name from University examination.
  • Students must extend full co-operation to supervisory staff. Any student found guilty of using unfair means during the examination will be punished according to the
           seriousness on the offence.
  • Any Candidate found guilty of using unfair means in the University examination will not be entitled to get character certificate. In such situation he/she will lose the right to
           be awarded with character certificate.

Tutorial Groups

To provide intimate personal contact with teachers, each student is assigned a tutor whose duty is to guide and remove the personal and academic difficulties of their respective wards. All the students are divided into tutorial groups of about 15 students each. The tutorial period is an integral part of the time-table. Along with the intimate interaction between students and teachers, this period will also provide an opportunity to each student to equip herself with necessary teaching skills of chalk board writing, preparing teaching aids etc.

Multi Dimensional Period

For the development of various skills that lead pupil-teachers to gain proficiency in technology, lesson planning writing, especially EBO, PK Testing, BB work etc. methodology classes are held. House meetings to plan for the coming week and Saturday special activities are also part of this period. Yoga classes and tutorials are also held during this multi dimensional period.

Yoga and Personality Development Classes

For the physical, mental and moral wellbeing of students, provision of Yoga and Personality Development classes has been made in the college time-table. Both activities are undertaken under the expert guidance.

College Magazine

The college magazine ‘SANKALP’ is published every year to provide opportunity to the budding writers to exercise and display their creativity. The magazine consists of Hindi, English, Punjabi and College News Sections. The selection of the student editors for each section is made on the basis of written test followed by the interview.

Experimental Administration and Teaching by Pupil Teachers

During the ending days of the session, pupil teachers are given an opportunity to run the institution independently in order to provide them firsthand experience of working of an educational institution. The Principal and the teachers for the day are selected from the students after going through the process of screening and interview.

Education Olympiad

To equip our students with the ability of attempting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) successfully, we organize education Olympiad at the end of the session, in which quiz is conducted based on the syllabus meant for TET. The winners are awarded the cash prize and all the students are given guidance and motivation to prepare themselves fully for the TET.

Youth Leadership Camp

With an aim of developing leadership qualities among our students, Youth leadership camp is organized. The camp instills the social values of sharing, mutual co-operation, brotherhood and independent living among the students.

Remedial Teaching

By careful analysis of the students’ performance in the examination and diagnosing the areas of difficulty, remedial teaching is providing to the students. Necessary guidance is given to the students which helps them to overcome their problems. Remedial Teaching is not revising the topics repeatedly, the problem relating to different subject and concerned topics are taken into consideration and clarified by the concerned teacher. Students are given tips for the better attempt in annual examination.

Book Bank

A book bank has been established in the college to provide free access of the books to the needy and meritorious students of the college and neighborhood for the whole session. The book bank will function as a co-operative enterprise of students, teachers and community members with their donation of old or new book.

As we know that educational trips and tours are the best sources to provide firsthand field experiences to students, we organize them every year. Destination is selected keeping in view its informative value, recreational sources, scope in providing food to head and soul. These trips and tours also extend opportunity to students to have an experience of independent living, social sharing and bridging the gaps among different peer groups.
